Refund and Return Policy

At Hitakshi Handicrafts, we are dedicated to ensuring your satisfaction with our unique handcrafted products. Due to the artisanal nature of our items, our return and refund policy is structured to account for the individuality of each piece while addressing genuine concerns.

  • 2.1. Eligibility for Return/Refund:

    • Damaged or Incorrect Item: If you receive an item that is damaged during transit or if you have received an incorrect product (different from what you ordered), please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
    • Manufacturing Defect: While rare for handmade items, if you identify a significant manufacturing defect not attributable to the inherent variations described in Section 1.1, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
    • Change of Mind: We understand that sometimes a product might not be exactly what you envisioned. For select items, we may offer an exchange or store credit for a change of mind, provided the item is unused, in its original condition and packaging, and communicated within 3 days of delivery. This is subject to our discretion and specific product exclusions (e.g., custom orders, perishable items, or items where hygiene is a concern) will apply. Please check the product description for specific return eligibility.
    • Non-Eligible Returns: Returns will not be accepted for:
      • Minor variations in colour, design, size, or finish as described in Section 1.1, which are inherent to handmade products.
      • Products damaged due to misuse, neglect, or improper care after delivery.
      • Items returned without their original packaging, tags, and accessories.
      • Customized or personalized orders.
      • Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable.”
  • 2.2. Return Process:

    • To initiate a return or refund request, please email us at [Your Email Address] or contact us via WhatsApp at [Your WhatsApp Number] (if applicable) within the stipulated timeframe.
    • In your communication, please include:
      • Your Order Number.
      • A clear description of the issue (e.g., damage, incorrect item, defect).
      • Clear photographs or a short video demonstrating the damage or defect.
    • Our customer support team will review your request and guide you through the next steps, including providing you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if applicable.
    • Once your return is approved, we will provide instructions for shipping the item back to us. Please ensure the item is securely packed to prevent further damage during transit. The cost of return shipping for damaged/incorrect/defective items will be borne by Hitakshi Handicrafts. For change of mind returns, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
  • 2.3. Inspection and Refund/Exchange:

    • Upon receipt of the returned item, our team will inspect it to verify the claim.
    • If the return is approved:
      • For Damaged/Incorrect/Defective Items: We will offer a replacement product (if available) or a full refund to your original payment method. Refunds are typically processed within 7-10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
      • For Change of Mind (if applicable): We will process an exchange for an item of equivalent value or issue a store credit, valid for [e.g., 6 months] from the date of issue. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • 2.4. Cancellation Policy:

    • Orders can be cancelled free of charge only if the request is made before the order has been processed or shipped. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. To request a cancellation, please contact us immediately with your order number.
